The Fringe Benefits of Failure J.K Rowling
At the 2008 Harvard Commencement ceremony, Rowling gives a moving speech on how life's adversities and trials ultimately can shape us into better people if we choose to use failure as the basis for success. She also speaks on the importance of imagination and the ability to wonder about one's life andhow life would be different had you been born in another country.
Her words were moving, powerful, and written with that same wonderful diction and importance as we have come to know her work. She did not devolve into a blubbering mess of sniffling and crying when speaking of her past, she kept her professional attitude all the way though.
